Bordeaux is home to some excellent museums that should not be missed. The Musee d'Aquitaine illustrates Bordeaux's long and colorful history. A fantastic collection of contemporary art is housed in the Musee d'Art Contemporain.

The beautiful Cathedrale Saint-Andre was first constructed back in 1096, and is one of the country's oldest and most historic churches.

Bordeaux has a very lively nightlife, mostly due to the huge population of young people in the city. Start your evening by dining in one of the restaurants, and after putting back one or ten glasses of fine wine, you'll be ready to hit up the bars and clubs until the early morning hours!
